Temperature Sensor STS32
GDP compliant data logging with ISO17025 calibration certificate
Based on the versatile STS3x platform, the STS32 is a digital, I2C-based temperature sensor. It features a GDP (Good Distribution Practices)-adapted accuracy specification and includes a three-point calibration certificate provided by Sensirion’s new ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited calibration laboratory. The calibration set points are T = -30°C, 5°C, and 70°C. All values are provided in a machine-readable CSV file format and can be associated with the respective sensor by its unique, unalterable serial number. The metrological traceability of the calibration conforms to chapter 6.5 of ISO/IEC 17025:2017, commonly referred to in relation to NIST traceability or traceability to other national metrology institutes, in accordance with the CIPM Mutual Recognition Arrangement (CIPM MRA).
Calibration certificates and data for each STS32 can be downloaded from a server address given in the shipment documents. This enables efficient processing by automated systems. STS32 users can merge the provided calibration data from the sensor with the calibration information needed for their loggers. The calibration process can therefore be completely covered by using a digital, pre-calibrated temperature sensor, all while fulfilling the strictest quality requirements of the pharmaceutical and medical Industry.

Pharmaceutical Data Logging
During production, handling, and delivery of pharma products, environmental parameters such as temperature and humidity must be closely controlled. For example, only product temperatures within presupposed limits will guarantee the intended use or even prevent fatal misuse. Recognizing the impact of handling conditions on product reliability has generated high standards in the industry from companies and legislation, such as GDP and pharmacopoeia, and EN12830.
The requirements place particular emphasis on the calibration of data loggers. Here, ISO 17025-compliant, three-point calibration processes ensure the highest monitoring quality. Sensirion provides value to the industry by supplying fully calibrated digital temperature sensors including three-point calibration certificates. This enables customers to manufacture data loggers in a scalable and cost-efficient way with highest quality standards. Learn more
