Andreas joined Sensirion in 2012 as a software engineer. "When I joined Sensirion I was filled with curiosity. The company offers exciting challenges in the software industry, which is ultimately why I applied for a job as a software engineer in the Mobile Devices Department."
Andreas and his team are responsible for the development of mobile apps, which arise from the needs of internal and external customers. For example they work on software solutions for sensors in mobile phones or for exhibition demonstrations. "We are involved in all processes - from hardware integration to the end-user applications. This interdisciplinary teamwork makes our everyday life varied and exciting," says Andreas.
The Mobile Devices Department has grown steadily in recent years. "Mobile devices have evolved into complex systems and additional sensors constantly take a higher priority in our daily lives," says Andreas, explaining the increased relevance. Internet of things, smart home and wearables are not futuristic or aspirational, but actual day to day business at Sensirion.
Andreas really enjoys working for the leading Swiss manufacturer of sensors and sensor solutions:
Sensirion is filled with young, motivated and talented people and we benefit from each other's expertise daily.
The environment is very friendly and we often meet up socially after work for a beer or to play sport or music.
