Intern Product Management Humidity & Temperature
He knows all about entrepreneur platforms and creative blogs, since that’s where he looks for innovative ideas. He analyse products, does research, outlines his thoughts and advances Sensirion’s products with his ideas. “It never gets boring,” he says with a laugh. Peppino Durizzo has been an intern in product management since November.
Before joining Sensirion, the 28-year-old completed a bachelor’s in economics in Basel and then a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering at ETH. With a two-year master’s program in mechanical engineering at the ETH still ahead of him, it’s clear he’s the ambitious type. “That’s why it was important to me that my employer also be ambitious. Sensirion’s company value of ‘top performance’ makes it the perfect fit for me,” says Peppino.
Peppino’s work is the main reason he feels so happy at Sensirion. “I like taking initiative, having responsibilities and advancing Sensirion with my ideas.” At Sensirion, named the second best employer in Switzerland in 2017, all doors are open to him in this respect. Peppino was already handling a variety of projects after a quick training period. One was the product launch of a new sensor, which he managed from analysis through to action implementation. He also develops storylines for marketing products and helps design new advertising material. “Fast decisions ensure that ideas get underway and implemented quickly,” explains Peppino.
He also values the steady support of his superiors, the variety and the interdisciplinary exchange. “Despite having more than 700 employees and six locations, Sensirion still has a relaxed startup atmosphere. I can help shape a lot of processes and play an active role in writing Sensirion’s success story,” says Peppino. It’s pretty amazing that an intern can have as much of an impact as an employee. “If you're a go-getter with drive and the desire to shape the future, Sensirion is just the place for you,” says Peppino.
