Autoclavable mass flow meters increase patient safety

Viruses and other pathogens can spread worldwide in no time. This also applies to hospitals, where patients trust that they will receive the best possible care and treatment. If hospitals are to stop pathogens and germs efficiently, they need either disposable equipment or components that can be disinfected and sterilized after use. However, conventional metering solutions are not always exchangeable or sterilizable. In contrast, Sensirion's CMOSens® based flow sensors are highly suited as sterilizable solutions, due to their resistance to environmental influences. The newly developed gas flow sensors are built to withstand autoclave procedures, making them reusable. That way, Sensirion's sensors are contributing to the safety of patients.
