Sensirion’s liquid flow sensor journeyed into space
In spring, a rocket was launched to the International Space Station (ISS) with a liquid flow sensor manufactured by Sensirion on board. The sensor is part of a research project to examine the influence of microgravity on liquids. The main objective of the project is to investigate the effects of weightlessness on the bloodstream.
R&D Note: Sensors widen potential for wearable devices
Wearables - smart mini-computers worn as clothing or accessories - are generating increasing interest in the market. Thanks to recent innovations in the field of environmental sensors, these devices are now capable of sensing their surroundings.
