Quality Management at Sensirion
To produce Sensirion's environmental and flow sensors in millions of units, a multitude of highly complex processes and tests are necessary. The Quality Engineers decide whether the sensor solution meets the requirements and has been developed to such an extent that series production can be started.
The core task of Quality Engineering is to test and verify a product for the high demands of Sensirion and its customers.
Only if the sensors deliver the promised performance will they be ready for the market. It is therefore the responsibility of QM to ensure that Sensirion remains the top supplier of innovative and high-quality sensor solutions. The activity requires not only a technical understanding, but also problem solving skills, flexibility, precision, self-management and priority setting. The requirement profile is thus fulfilled by graduates of a university with a technical background (physics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering) as well as experienced professionals.
What makes the position in this area extremely versatile is the fact that you come into contact with Sensirion's complete product range, work closely with other teams and at the same time master technical challenges. As a reliability engineer in particular, the aim is to check the sensor for weak points and to find faults that were previously hidden - the role of Sherlock Holmes in the company, so to speak. The sensors come directly from production to the Reliability Engineer to check whether the performance matches the data sheet or specifications. Tests must also be further developed and analyses carried out. If a sensor does not receive the approval stamp, R&D is supported in an advisory capacity in order to achieve the desired goal.
