Field Report - Market Management @Sensirion
Sales at Sensirion have a global focus and allow me to gain valuable experience in performing well in the international marketplace. Our unique product in the humidity and temperature sensors market opens doors for me to all major customers in this area. In my case these are well known suppliers in the automotive sector. Relations between Sensirion and our customers are close and long-lasting in this industry, which allows me to develop many interesting personal contacts.
I came to Sensirion after earning an engineering degree from ETH Zurich and a few professional experiences in technical product development. I began four years ago as a Key Account Manager in the humidity and temperature sensors business area. From very early on I was entrusted with real responsibilities. My technical expertise allows me to provide competent advice to our demanding customers on a daily basis, and move sales projects forward. As the interface between the customer and Sensirion, I receive solid support from the international field sales team and from our development, production and quality control departments. We live our teamwork at Sensirion, and I can act as the voice for the customer within the organization. The company's strong growth in recent years gave me an opportunity to advance my career by taking on the more strategic position of Market Segment Manager. In this role I can develop new markets, such as China, and supervise new key account managers on site.
Today I get a great deal of satisfaction from seeing our products in vehicles out on the streets when a project is completed, knowing that I have helped contribute to making today's cars safer and more environmentally friendly.
